Jocasta is a robotic Avenger built by Ultron using the brain patterns of Janet van Dyne (the Wasp), who broke free of her creator's programming to become a genuine hero. Her search for identity as a synthetic being with organic origins is one of Marvel's most thoughtful explorations of personhood.
