The Skrulls are a shape-shifting alien race and one of the oldest empires in the Marvel Universe. Their ability to perfectly mimic any person or creature makes them one of Marvel's most dangerous adversaries — a threat that culminates in the Secret Invasion event, where it is revealed that Skrulls have been replacing key heroes and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents for years. The Skrulls have been enemies of the Fantastic Four and the Kree since their earliest appearances.
