Hellcat is Patsy Walker — a character who began life as a lighthearted romance comic heroine in the 1940s before being reimagined as a superhero. After donning the Cat costume, Patsy gained enhanced agility and the ability to sense magical phenomena. A longtime Avenger and Defender, she has also died, gone to hell, and come back. Written memorably by Steve Englehart and later Kate Leth, Hellcat is one of Marvel's most enduring and versatile characters.
