Defenders

The Defenders are a non-team of powerful loners who band together when threats demand it — no formal membership, no headquarters, no rules. The classic lineup features Doctor Strange, the Hulk, Namor, and the Silver Surfer. Later versions have included Nighthawk, Valkyrie, and Hellcat. The Defenders concept was recently revived as a street-level team pairing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist.
