Genis-Vell

Genis-Vell is the son of the original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) who inherited cosmic awareness and the Nega-Bands. After a turbulent career as Captain Marvel and Photon — marked by near-madness and vast power — he was ultimately destroyed by Baron Zemo to prevent a catastrophe of omnipotence.
