Banshee, born Sean Cassidy, is an Irish mutant X-Man with the power to generate a sonic scream capable of flight, shattering materials, and stunning opponents. A former Interpol agent, Sean was one of the new international X-Men introduced in Giant-Size X-Men #1 and brought a warmth and wisdom to the team that made him a beloved figure. His relationship with Moira MacTaggert and his role as a mentor to Generation X defined his later years.
