Havok, born Alex Summers, is the younger brother of Cyclops and a mutant who absorbs ambient cosmic energy and releases it as powerful plasma blasts. Unlike his brother, Alex struggled for years to step out of Scott's shadow and define himself as his own hero. He has led multiple X-Men teams including X-Factor and the Uncanny Avengers, and his recurring conflict between duty and a desire for a normal life makes him one of the X-Men's most relatable characters.
