Green Goblin (Harry Osborn) is Norman Osborn's son who took up his father's identity out of a twisted sense of legacy and grief. His death — injected with the Goblin Formula that he could not metabolize — was one of Spider-Man's most personal tragedies, and his resurrection years later reopened those wounds.
