The original Avengers series spans from the founding team of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp through decades of roster changes and landmark storylines. Highlights include the Kree-Skrull War (#89–97), the Korvac Saga (#167–177), and the classic Stern/Buscema run in the 200s. For new readers, issue #1 and the early Stan Lee/Jack Kirby issues are a must. The title defined the concept of the Marvel superhero team book.
